Brevinor is a combined oral contraceptive pill (the “Pill”) containing two hormones — norethisterone (a progestogen) and ethinylestradiol (an oestrogen). Together, these hormones prevent pregnancy by stopping ovulation, thickening cervical mucus to block sperm movement, and altering the uterine lining to reduce the likelihood of implantation.

Periods may become lighter, irregular, or sometimes absent.
